No Other Name

Key scripture – “There is no other name under Heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).
Oh, the wondrous sweet life giving name of Jesus! As the apostle Paul said “There is no other name under Heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).
We can believe on the name of Jesus and be saved – pardoned from all our sins. There are about 350 names and descriptive phrases for Jesus in the Bible and each one is life giving and life transforming. There is life in His name, there is peace in His name, there is grace in His name, there is wholeness in His name, there is healing in His name, all we need for our present and eternal well being is in His name.
All His glorious names meet varying needs in our lives. They reveal diverse dimensions of His power, love, grace, glory, and goodness that touch our souls. Give thanks to Jesus, the name above all names, for being everything that we need. One day, “at the Name of Jesus every knee shall bow in heaven and on earth and under earth, and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” (Philippians 2:10-11).
If you are facing an impossible situation today, if your problem is as big as the giant Goliath, remember what David did when he was facing Goliath, who was an impossible situation for Him and the Israelites, David was not afraid, he didn’t shrink back in fear, instead he ran toward Goliath because David knew that the name of The Lord would override the impossible situation that he faced. David knew the power of God’s name, that is why he told Goliath: “You come to me with a sword, a spear, and a javelin, but I come to you in the name of The Lord of hosts”… 1 Samuel 17:45.
You need to know that there is power in God’s name for whatever situation you face today. Proverbs 18:10 says, “The name of The Lord is a strong tower, the righteous runs into it and is safe.” The name of The Lord- just the name- is a strong fortified place. God’s name is not like any other name.
In the Lord’s Prayer we say, “Our Father who is in Heaven, hallowed be Your name.” (Matthew 6:9). The word hallowed means to set apart, to make holy, separate, infinitely pure, perfect in all He does. So we are effectively saying: Lord, let me set apart Your Holy name and place it as unique. I’m not going to mix Your name up with everybody else’s. Your name is one of a kind. Let me recognize You for who You are, Holy.” God’s Names are Unique, Powerful, Holy and Awesome.
Call out His name and He will be there for you because He is faithful and compassionate. God has a name for every challenge that you face and His name is full of power.
Pray this – Our Precious Heavenly Father, I call out to You because Your Name is my refuge, my strength, my strong hightower that I run to. Your Names proclaim Your character and are the sum total of Your Characteristics, that is why You are called: The God Who Rules, The Strong Creator God, The Lord is Peace, The Lord Our Provider, The Lord Our Righteousness, The Lord Our Warrior, The Lord My Shepherd, The Lord Who Heals, The Lord Who Sanctifies, The Most High God, The Lord My Refuge, The Lord My Strength, The Lord My Rock, God My Helper, The Lord My Savior, The Lord My Stronghold, The Lord My Shield, The Lord My Fortress, The Lord God Almighty, The Lord is With You, and as You said to Moses, “I am who I am. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I am has sent me to you.’” (Exodus 3:14). When I focus on Your Names all fear, anxiety and worry leaves me because Your Names remind me of Who You are and what You will do for me. I know that You will always override and overrule my impossible situation. You will always show up and show out. Show me how to always bring honor and glory to You and Your Name. In the Name of Jesus, the Name above all Names, I pray, Amen.
