Prayer Fulfilled
Daniel 6:22
My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.
And early that morning the King got up and ran to the den and shouted, “O Daniel are you still in there?” And Daniel got up and stretched himself and said, “Well I hear somebody calling my name.” Daniel hollered back through the mouth of the den, “O King, live forever.” Then the King ordered his men to open the mouth of the den. Those same people that put Daniel in the den of lions were themselves thrown in along with their families and God allowed Daniels enemies to be devoured. Be careful how you cook up negative stuff because sometimes it will backfire on you.
The king said, “Daniel, tell me what happened.” Then Daniel said, “You know when you all put me in the den, I wasn’t disturbed because I prayed ahead of time. If you pray before trouble comes, you won’t have to pray when trouble comes. If you pray in the car, you want have to panic in the storm. Daniel said, last night a visitor showed up in the middle of the lion’s den. Once in a while when you think you won’t make it, a visitor will show up. Who was that visitor? That visitor in the night was the seed of the woman. He was the Passover lamb. That visitor in the night was Joshua’s bail man; He was Ezekiel’s wheel in the middle of a wheel, He was Amos’ plumb line. That visitor in the night was that fourth man in the fiery furnace. His name was Jesus.
Have you ever been in a situation where the odds were against you? You weren’t supposed to make it but here you did. Even your own family and friends thought you would never make it. Not because of what you knew but because somebody showed up. Jesus came and saved the day!
