Get Ready For A New Body

1 Corinthians 15:4

There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.

What kind of shape will I be in when the Lord returns? There is one glory of the sun, another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars. For one star differs from another in glory. So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption. This means that when I die, I might have only one leg; I might have only one arm; I might have only one eye. But it is raised incorruptible. It won’t deteriorate. It is sown in dishonor; I might have a crooked limb; I might have one eye looking one way the other looking the other way. It will be raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, but it is raised in power It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body; and there is a spiritual body. The former things will be passed away. 1 Corinthians 13:12 says, “for now we see through a glass darkly, but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as I am already known.” Life is a little blurry now. Some things I can’t understand but one of these days, I’ll be able to understand it all.

Now you can live a week without food, you can live days without water, but you can live only minutes without hope. God gives us what you call a renewed hope. Romans 8:24 and 25, says we are saved by hope. But hope that is seen is not hope. But what a man seeth why doth he yet hope for it. It says but if we hope for that we have not seen, then do we with patience wait for it. This patience comes from the word meaning under. It means carrying a load under you and moving with your load. You see when you know you’ve got something you’re looking forward to, sometimes it helps you live a little longer, patiently serving our Lord and bringing others to Him.
