Poor But Very Rich

Poor But Very Rich
Revelation 2:9
I know thy… poverty, (but thou art rich).
I also know how poor you are. Because of your stand for me, you’ve had your chariots taken away; you’ve lost good jobs, your wife and children walked away. He says I know your poverty. There are some people that believe what Ike use to say concerning the prosperity gospel-that if you do what the Lord says, you’ll get rich. Now you can prosper following the Lord, but you don’t have to prosper financially. Some of the closest folk I’ve seen to the Lord didn’t have a quarter. It doesn’t mean because you doing everything right for God, that you’re going to have a pocket full of money. Nor does it mean if you have a pocket full of money that you’re doing what the Lord says. A whole lot of folk right close by, living real good have never bowed down to the Lord. They have great big houses and have never accepted Christ as Savior.
God is not disappointed in you if you are poor. He says I know your poverty, but thou art rich. How can I be poor and then be rich at the same time? James 2:5 Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him? Now I may not have any money but if I have faith, I’m rich. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Without faith it is impossible to please him. He that comes to God must believe that He is and that He rewards those that diligently seek him. So if I don’t have faith God is not pleased. But if I do have faith my Father is pleased with me. I don’t have to have any money because he knows what I have need of even before I ask him. The road may be rough, the going may get tough, the hills may be hard to climb, but I started a long time ago and there’s no doubt in my mind, Oh I decided to make Jesus my choice.
