Stop worrying and living in fear

  Laura Ingle

Key scripture – “And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work” (2 Corinthians 9:8).

Do you know that no matter what you are going through, God is always with you?

When you are going through a trial you always need to remember God’s character and His power. Time and again God has proved He is able and that His promises are true and trustworthy.

When the waves are high and the wind is strong in your life, you have to stop focusing on them and instead focus on Jesus, the Living Word of God. You need to get in the Word and focus on what God has already done for you because His Word goes out, and it will not return to Him empty, but will accomplish what He desires and achieve the purpose for which He sent it. (Isaiah 55:11).

You need to stop worrying and living in fear and let God handle your crisis. Stop your futile struggles. Stand firm and watch God win the battle for you. He wants you to trust Him to win the battle. “You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance The Lord will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow and The Lord will be with you.” (2 Chronicles 20:17).

Stop fretting and worrying and instead praise God for what He has done for you in the past, present, and what He will do for you in the future. “The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in Him.” (Nahum 1:7).

Pray this – Our Precious Heavenly Father, I want to thank you for always being there for me. You are my Redeemer and my Shepherd. I shall not want. You make me lie down in green pastures. You lead me beside still waters. You restore my soul. You lead me in paths of righteousness for Your Name sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table in the presence of my enemy and anoint my head with oil. My cup over flows with joy and blessings. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever. (Psalm 23:1-6). My enemies cannot harm me because you will never forsake or abandon me. I will be still before the Lord and wait patiently for You; I will not fret about anything or anyone. I have nothing to fear because you are my Deliverer. I will commit all my ways to You and trust You, and You will make my righteous reward shine like the dawn and my justice like the noon day sun. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen.
