Key scripture- “And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28).

When you bake a cake you use a lot of different ingredients in order to get the final product. But if you do not have patience to wait for the ingredients to be mixed together and for the cake to bake, you will never get to taste the goodness of the cake.

Pastor, Tony Evans says that is how God works. He takes a little of this, a little of that, and a little of the other that might not look too tasty on its own, yet in His sovereignty, He will mix it, stir in a little omnipresence, add some omnipotence, a dash of grace, throw in a little goodness, mix in a little mercy, and combine it all together with love. Then, when it comes out of the oven, all you can say is, “Excellent.”

But the only ones who can say “Excellent” are those who love God and are committed to His purpose. You’ve got to be on His agenda, not on your own. You’ve got to be following His path, not your own. It’s not, “Lord, this is what I want.”Rather, it’s “Lord, what do You want?” And the way you find out what He wants is in, His Word, prayer and listening to the Holy Spirit when He prompts you. That is what defines a life lived in the abundance of the King and His kingdom.

Think back to the times where have you seen in your own life God work bad circumstances for your good or for those you love? If you find it hard to trust God in difficult or uncertain times, I want you to do this:

Get on your knees before God and tell Him, “Father, I bring all my crazy fears to You. I do not know what to do about ________. But I know you do and that You are faithful and good. I can’t handle ____ so I give it to You and I want You to show me what it looks like to trust You. In Jesus Name, I pray, Amen”

I guarantee, you will be able to go back later and check off where God answered your prayer. If it is impossible for you today, don’t worry, God will take care of it in His time and His way.

Pray this – Our Precious Heavenly Father, grant me the patience to wait with a trusting spirit as You arrange the situations and experiences in my life for Your good and glory. I know that You will accomplish good in and through me if I will commit my heart to love You, seek Your will, and be obedient to Your Word. Because of Your love for me I am a super conqueror over all my problems and circumstances. Jesus has already won the victory over Satan, sin, and death and as a child of God I have His power, courage and strength in me. I know that You are on the move. Your life altering, window shaking, mind blowing blessings are on the way, and Your blessings are numerous and varied. Father I know that You can reverse, restore, revive and renew. I will be on the lookout for Your plans that are already in motion during this difficult time. I trust You, and I know that You can take any circumstance and use it for my good and Your glory.Thank you for what You are doing, especially that which I cannot yet see. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen.
