Revelation Revealed

  Laura Ingle

Key scripture – “I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed—in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory” (1 Corinthians 15:50-54).

Do you know that Jesus is coming back?

He is coming back and what a difference it will make!

The return of Jesus is biblical and Titus 2:13 says we ought to be “looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus.”

The Bible is over flowing with promises and encouragements directly related to the return of our Lord, Jesus Christ. It’s not just hinted at; it’s highlighted. You can’t read very far without stumbling upon it, no matter which book you choose. In the New Testament alone the events related to Christ’s coming are mentioned over 300 times.

You might be thinking, “That is great, and I am excited, but what do I do in the meantime?”

First, it might be best for you to understand what you don’t do. You don’t sit around, listening for some bugle call or looking for the rapture cloud. You don’t quit work. And don’t try to set the date, because only The Lord knows when it will happen.

“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.” (Matthew 24:36-41).

What you do need to be doing before Jesus comes back:

You need to get your act together by getting into God’s Word, increasing Your faith, living in obedience, and praying.

You need to live every day as if it’s your last for His glory.

You need to work diligently at your job and in your home as if you are working for The Lord.

And if you’re not absolutely sure you’re ready to fly, you need to get your ticket immediately. As long as they are available, they’re free. But don’t wait. About the time you finally make up your mind, the whole thing could have happened, leaving you looking back instead of up. If you want to be sure that you will not be left behind when Jesus comes back, here is what you need to do:

“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:9-13).

Jesus is coming!

“Therefore, keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.” (Matthew 24:42-44).

Jesus is coming back – are you ready?

Pray this – Our Precious Heavenly Father, I praise and thank You that Jesus is coming back!! I want to be a faithful and wise servant while I wait for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to return. I can’t even imagine the joy that I will experience when I spend eternity with You. I pray that my family and friends that I bring before You today in prayer turn from the broad road that they are on and that they accept and follow Jesus as their Lord and Savior before it is to late. I know that one day every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord!! Jesus is the King of kings and Lord of lords. He is the alpha and omega, the beginning and the end. Hallelujah! Jesus, come quickly! In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen
