Genesis 18:18

Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?

We are a special people. Let me call a witness. Three little men got in trouble. They didn’t have to get into this dilemma. Their names where Hananiah, Meshael, and Azariah. We call them Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Down in a little town called Babylon, they refused to bow to the golden image that king set up. They were warned; “If you don’t bow, you will burn.” They didn’t bow. They made a vow that they would not worship any other god. The king summoned them to be placed in the fiery furnace, and he turned the dial up where it would be seven times hotter than it had ever been. I know fire was in there because the people on the outside got burned. But God conditioned these men to stand the fire. Some of you know that if you are going through some things, God doesn’t always have to get you out; He can condition you to stand the fire. Some folk can stand a little more fire than others. It is not because of their strength; it’s because God conditions them to stand the fire. Some people crack under any kind of pressure. But some folk can just go on through it.

Then God says, “They have been in this fire long enough.” He sent his Son quickly and at once, sooner than right now. The only thing these men lost in the fire was what the enemy put on them. The enemy took rope and tied them up. But when the king looked in his report was that they were loosed and walking around in the furnace. Fire wasn’t bothering them because Jesus conditioned them to stand. And the reason he did it is because they were chosen people. God will do great things for His special people. He parted the Red Sea and allowed Moses to lead Israel across on dry ground. As soon as the last chosen child got across, God withdrew his spirit, allowing the sea to come back and Pharaohs army drowned. He takes of His special people!
