Be Made New

John 3:7

Marvel not that I said unto thee, ye must be born again.

Stop worrying about what you can get and focus on what you should be and that is being born again. This is our highest priority in life. What does a person need to do to be born again? The answer is – nothing! You don’t have to walk hell on a spider web to be born again. You don’t have to sit and wait and tarry for the presence of the Holy Ghost to be born again. Just believe. Believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that he died for your sins and that His father raised Him from the dead. When I was in school, most of the questions I missed were the easy ones even though the answer was right under my nose. The difficult questions were the ones I was able to pass. Sometimes that’s why we miss salvation; we think we have to do something spectacular to be saved. God said the work is already done. He accomplished the goal at Calvary. You must only believe that the work is done and accept Jesus your savior. You must be converted; you must be regenerated. You receive a new spiritual life through Jesus. An elderly lady was in the hospital on her death bed. She was born again. The saints went over to the hospital where she was and tried to pray her back. She said, “No! Look, don’t pray for me no more.” The saints said, “What do you mean. Are you insulted that we’ve come?” She said, “No that’s not what I mean. I was getting ready to go home a year ago and I let ya’ll come in here and crowd my hospital ward and prayed me back and I have been suffering in pain for the last year. You’re not going to stop me this time. Thank ya’ll but I’ve got a new home.” There is nothing wrong with moving when you’ve got somewhere to move to that is better than where you’re moving from. An unsaved person always has to look back to rejoice. But a saved person has something to look forward to; their best days are always ahead.
