Bogged down in your spiritual growth?

Key scripture – “But he said, “What is impossible with man is possible with God” (Luke 18:27).

Do you ever find yourself bogged down in your spiritual growth simply because the challenges and problems that are before you look absolutely impossible?

Do you realize that whatever thing or things you’re calling “impossibilities” in your life, no matter what they are, can be superimposed over what God says is “Nothing” to Him? And when God says Nothing, He means Nothing!

Close your eyes for a moment. Now I want you to think about that problem, person or circumstances that seem impossible, that uncrossable river or mountain, any impossibility that you can think of. Is it your business? Or your school? Or your marriage? Your finances? Your health? Your job? Your family? Strained relationships with people? An addiction?

Will you ask the Lord today to handle that specific impossibility, and then leave it with Him in a faith that simply will not doubt? Will you do what James tells you to do, “… Ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.” (James 1:6-8).

Do that right now. Stop carrying that burden and give it to God and leave it with Him. . . please!

Remember, we serve a BIG BIG God and the things that are impossible with men are possible with God because he “is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us” (Ephesians 3:20).

Don’t hesitate another minute, give it to God right now and leave it with Him. He is waiting to hear from you. He can handle it, no matter what your problem is, because nothing is impossible with God. He never panics or freaks out. He is running the universe with His feet up. He is never shocked by what happens nor does He ever say, “Wow, I never saw that coming” or “Oh my, what am I going to do now?”

Pray this – Our Precious Heavenly Father, I know in my head and my heart that nothing is impossible for You. This is a common theme in Your Word that, “Nothing is too difficult for You.” (Jeremiah 32:17) and “For nothing will be impossible with God.” (Luke 1:37). I am so sorry when I have doubted You and Your promises and I let panic and fear creep into my heart. I will not shrink back, cower or become weak because You go before me, You stand behind me, and You are always by my side. You are so close to me that I live in Your shadow. My strength is in Your Name. You will deliver me because Your Name is victory. Nothing formed against me shall stand. Jesus reigns forever and He is my Lord, Savior, and friend, and because of Him I will crush the enemy under my feet. Father, I admit to You that I can’t handle ___________, so I give it to You right now. Show me what it looks like to stop worrying and fretting about this problem and to trust You. I know that You will take care of me and that all things work together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose. In the Name of Jesus, the Messiah and Lord of All, I pray, Amen.
