But Moses said … Who am I

Key scripture – “But Moses said to God, “Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?” And God said, “I will be with you.” (Exodus 3:11-12).
What does it mean when God says that He will be with us?
It doesn’t mean our lives will be easy. It doesn’t mean we will be insulated from failure or doubt or that God will take our side in every argument.
It does mean we will never face a single struggle alone. “I will never leave you nor forsake you. . . . Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:5, 9).
It means the Lord will never withhold the help we need to do His will. It means that ultimately we will come out on top even if we feel that we’re living most of our life on the bottom.”When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.” (Isaiah 43:2 – 3).
What difficulties are you facing? Chronic illness? Troubled children? A broken marriage? Financial hardship?
Take a moment today to stop imagining yourself surrounded by all your difficulties and instead begin to envision yourself as you really are — surrounded by the presence of your Faithful God, who is always with you and protecting you, just like he did Elisha. “When the servant of the man of God rose early in the morning and went out, behold, an army with horses and chariots was all around the city. And the servant said, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?” He said, “Do not be afraid, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” Then Elisha prayed and said, “O Lord, please open his eyes that he may see.” So the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.” (2 Kings 6:15-17).
Decide today to do everything in your power to follow God no matter what is going on. Then ask for His peace, pray for His protection, open your life completely to His power, and wait and see what He does for you, you will be amazed. God has said to all of us, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can human beings do to me?” (Hebrews 13:5b-6). “Surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:20).
Pray this – Our Precious Heavenly Father, when I am afraid help me to remember that You have commanded me to be strong and courageous and not be terrified and discouraged because You are my help; the one who sustains me.(Psalm 54:4). You have not given me a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind. I will remind myself over and over that, “If God is for us, who can ever be against us.” (Romans 8:31). Father, I will not be afraid because you are with me. (Isaiah 44:5). Thank You that I am surrounded by an army of angels that are always ready to respond to every one of the commands that Jesus gives to them on my behalf. Jesus lives in me and He is Greater than the one that is in the world. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen.
