Exclude The Crowd

Exclude The Crowd

Mark 4:36

And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships.

The first thing Jesus did after He invited the disciples to go with him to the other side was to dismiss the crowd. He sent away the multitude, If you’re going and you’re in the storm, learn how to eliminate and dismiss the skeptics. Some people will hinder you from going, because every time you talk to them you hear negative talk. When you meet up with them, there’s something that’s not right; every time you talk with them, it’s nothing but criticism. You must eliminate and dismiss the skeptics, because they will have you crying when you don’t need to cry. They will have you complaining when you don’t have anything to complain about. They will have you grumbling even though you have a loaf of bread under your arm. People who criticize and complain all the time will tarnish your spirit. They will have you walking around looking down. They will have you saying, “I don’t know why God hasn’t done anything for me.”

Jesus had twelve disciples, but he didn’t carry all twelve with him everywhere he went. When he got ready to go up Mt. Herman, He left nine at the foot of the mountain. When he got ready to heal Jairus’ daughter, he left nine on the outside and took Peter, James, and John inside. Why didn’t He carry everybody? He said when I get ready to do something special, I can’t have everybody around me. He said, “I can’t have everybody around me.” Negativity will mess you up so leave negative people behind. I don’t care who they are, if it’s your son, or daughter, husband or wife, daddy or mamma, if they are always negative, say, “I love you, but I can’t keep you around me all the time.” I’m on my way somewhere. I’ve got to learn how to eliminate and dismiss skeptics.
