From a Wretch To A King
Revelation 1:6
And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his father; to him be glory and dominion forever and ever.
And hath made us kings. Here I am, a wretch undone, and yet the Lord takes a sinner like me, and makes a king. That means royalty and authority. We don’t have to yield to any and everything; we have authority. I need to explain what I’m saying. Matthew 28:18, “And all power is given unto me.” The Greek word for power is exousia, which means authority. Then Matthew 16:18 says, “Upon this rock I’ll build my church.” The Greek word for church is ekklesia. And then Acts 1:8 says, “But ye shall receive power.” This Greek word power is the word dunamis. The word dynamics and the word dynamite are derived from dunamis. The Lord gets his exousia, which is his authority and places it behind his ekklesia, which is His church. Then He gets his dunamis, which is his dynamite and puts it in the church, and tells the church to seize the opportunity placed before the church.
Whatever dynamite comes in contact with, it is always rearranged. Dynamite is like the working of the Holy Spirit; it moves you above certain things. What he said; what she said; what they said; what I don’t know but it looks like to me. When that dynamite gets on the inside, it takes that which was unorganized and organizes it. It gives you power and authority and arranges your life.
You see when you are a king; you shouldn’t get upset with your subjects. A king doesn’t pace the floor wondering where he’s going to get his next meal. A king doesn’t get upset just because somebody has been lying on him. When you’re king, everybody talks about you and picks at you. It’s almost like being in the field playing football and getting upset because you’ve been tackled. When you’re in the field expect to be tackled. He has made us kings. Let the King rearrange your life.
