God’s Word has a life of its own

 Laura Ingle ·

Key scripture – “O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments, and His ways past finding out!” (Romans11:33)

We must guard against lowering the standard of God’s Word to our level of understanding or political correctness. The Bible is not meant to be paraded past the judgment bar of your mind.

You can pick up any other book and read it, but the Bible is the book that reads you. It pulsates with life and power. It cuts, burns, crushes, and wields mountain-moving power. It will transform you and change you. “He who pays attention to the word of God will find good, And [blessed happy, prosperous, to be admired] is he who trusts confidently in the Lord.” (Proverbs 16:20 AMP),

God’s Word has a life of its own. It is the voice of God speaking directly to you. You cannot refuse it, deny it, distort it, or dilute it. You can only bow before it. “For the word of God is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energizing, and effective]. It is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating as far as the division of the soul and spirit [the completeness of a person], and of both joints and marrow [the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and judging the very thoughts and intentions of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12 AMP).

But the only way you are going to know God’s Word is to open your Bible and read and meditate on it. God will speak to you through His Word, try it and see, listen to what He has to say to you, then do what He tells you to do, and your life will never be the same!

Pray this – Our Precious Heavenly Father, I found Your Words and I ate them and they became a joy to me and the delight of my heart; For I have been called by Your name, O Lord God of hosts.(Jeremiah 15:16). I have tasted and seen that The Lord is good. Jesus, my Lord and Savior, is the Living Word of God which is proclaimed in the Book of John which says, “In the beginning before all time was the Word, (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself. He was continually existing in the beginning co-eternally with God. All things were made and came into existence through Him; and without Him not even one thing was made that has come into being.” (John 1:1-3, AMP). Your Word has been tried, it has been tested and refined like silver, it is perfect and true. Father, let Your Word flow through me and transform me from the inside out. In Jesus’ Name, The Living Word, I pray, Amen.
