Grow in your faith

Do you want to feed your faith? If so, make sure that the Bible is the main dish in your spiritual diet!
“This God—his way is perfect; the word of the Lord proves true; he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him.” (Psalm 18:30).
We have to have faith in our daily Christian walk because without faith it is impossible to please God.
“And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6).
Do you want to grow in your faith as a believer? The way you do it is, open your Bible and read it yourself. “Whoever gives thought to the word will discover good, and blessed is he who trusts in the Lord.” (Proverbs 16:20). God’s self-revelation in the Bible will increase your faith! As someone once said, “If we are not interested in the Word of God, can we really say that we are interested in God?”
It’s in His word that you’ll see the greatness of who He is. His unbelievable power will become a part of how you weigh the difficulties of life. His grace toward the worst of sinners will give you confidence to approach Him when you have sinned. His kindness will lead you to repentance. His wisdom will cause you to trust Him even when you can’t understand what He is doing. His love will move you to commit yourself in love to Him.
“For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:10-11).
God’s reminding us today that He’s given us a great ally in our spiritual life: His Word. Build your life on His Word and watch your faith and trust in God grow. “All the words of my mouth are righteous; there is nothing twisted or crooked in them. They are all straight to him who understands, and right to those who find knowledge.” (Proverbs 8:8-9).
Pray this – Our Precious Heavenly Father, I am committed to build my life on Your Word and I know my faith will grow. Even though everything else will perish, Your Word never will because, “The sum of your word is truth, and every one of your righteous rules endures forever.” (Psalm 119:160). It is so comforting to me that I can read Your Word and know that what You promised will happen because You told us, “I will not violate my covenant or alter the word that went forth from my lips.” (Psalm 89:34). Your Word is pure and is the absolute truth, and none, not one, of the promises that You made has ever failed, and they never will fail. All of Your promises have come to pass and will continue to come to pass. “The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.” (Isaiah 40:8). I will put Your Words in my heart and soul and keep them before me all the time. I will do what You told us to do when You said, “You shall therefore lay up these words of mine in your heart and in your soul, and you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall teach them to your children, talking of them when you are sitting in your house, and when you are walking by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates, that your days and the days of your children may be multiplied in the land that the Lord swore to your fathers to give them, as long as the heavens are above the earth” (Deuteronomy 11:18-21). I lay up Your Words in my heart. In the Name of Jesus, the Living Word of God, I pray, Amen.
