Him who is able
Key scripture- “Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever.” (Ephesians 3:20).
Did you know that God’s ability is far greater than you think!
Even if you’ve studied the attributes of God and believe that you have a grasp on what God can do, our concept of God’s ability falls far short. The Apostle Paul c…ertainly knew his theology. He could define and debate with anybody about God’s abilities. But as he wrote the words in today’s Key scripture he was so aware that he only had a grasp on a little corner of God. Our brain is not big enough nor are we intelligent enough to comprehend and know everything about God.
The greatness of God is unimaginable; there is no way that our minds can grasp what God is really like. He has revealed what we can know, and He also tells us that there is so much more about Him that He has not revealed!
Is there something that you want in your spiritual life, such as to be transformed from the inside out so that you are more like Jesus, but you are not sure that God could do that in you. Be assured, He can!
Is there someone you know whose walk with God is the kind of relationship that you wish that you could have with God, but you are not sure that God could do that in you. Be assured, God can!
What stronghold; anger, worry, smoking, drinking, drugs, pornography, gossiping, lying, lust, hatred, unforgiveness, do you want to get rid of in your life, but you are not sure God could do that in you. Be assured, God can!
God’s able to do far more abundantly and beyond what you can even ask or think, if you allow Him to!
In order to allow God to do His work in you, you need to get on your knees and give Him that situation today, surrender it to Him, and be assured, He will take it and He will amaze you. Be assured, God can!
Pray this -Our Precious Heavenly Father, I thank You that You are not like us and that You are not limited by what we can think or do. That is why You tell us, Your ways are not our ways and Your thoughts are not our thoughts. Forgive me for limiting Who You are and what You can do with my lack of understanding and knowledge. Help me to remember that: Nothing is impossible with You, the way You solve a problem is not even close to how I would do it, that You do not need my input and ideas on what You should do and when You should do it, and that You can take the evil that other people use against me to accomplish Your purpose and turn it into my good. Father, I trust You and I surrender everything to You. You are so holy, amazing, awesome, and so good. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen.
