Honoring the Son

Honoring the Son
Revelation 1:18
I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
I know that many of you are in a terrible dilemma. Your heart is heavy; there are problems steaming all around you and in your life. And you have said to yourself; “If it were not for bad luck, I wouldn’t have any at all.” You’ve tried to make ends meet and the harder you try the worse things become. Your doctor and your psychologist haven’t been the answer. You haven’t found it in magazines, in the bottom of a liquor bottle, or at the other end of a stick of marijuana. But I stopped on my way to heaven to tell you that He that honors the son, God will honor. Take time out of your busy schedule; stop complaining; stop worrying; stop giving up your right for the fellowman’s wrong and prancing the floor every night and focus on the Son. When you focus on the Son, he seems to have a way of drying the tears and easing your fears. He makes your burdens lighter and your pathway brighter. When you decide to honor the Son, He will supply all your needs.
A winner never quits and a quitter never wins. Satan may approach you many times and tell you to give up, throw in the towel. But you need to know that the devil doesn’t have a Heaven for you. However, he will certainly try to keep you out if he can. And sometimes on this journey and pilgrimage, the road may not be as sweet as it should and ought to be, but stay in the race; don’t give up the ship; don’t throw in the towel. The race is not given to the swift or the battle to the strong, but to him that endures to the end. When John penned the book of Revelation, he was in his nineties. At the age of twenty-five, he left his parents and occupation to follow Jesus. At ninety, he’s still walking with the Lord and yielding his life to the Son, honoring Him. Honor the Lord to the very last moment!
