Importance Of The Blood
Hebrews 9:22
And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
In addition to God making man with all the fixed cells, He also placed within man’s body mobile cells, which is the blood. Even when we prepare our diet, we should have our blood in mind. What you eat must be transferred into blood. So it’s not your stomach you should be interested in; its the rest of you. When you eat, that food is changed into blood to feed all the vital organs. Certain foods are much easier for the body to digest while other foods burden the body. A big steak dinner could take over 16 hours to digest in your system. But it takes apples, and oranges, and grapes about 20 minutes. Once you eat there is an instant energy that is transferred into your body through the bloodstream.
Our blood contains red cells and white cells. Both do a different job. The white cells serve as an emergency army. Whenever a problem occurs, it’s the white cells that go and look for the recovery of your body. If I cut my finger, it will swell and get white pus around at the edge, which is really the death of the white cells that rushed over to help my finger recover. Once they complete their job, the red cells come and clean up the mess that the white cells left. You will see a scab indicating the red cells came by and did their job. In a few days healing has taken place.
If your blood has something wrong, you might have a fever. If so, your doctor will take a sample of your blood to look at under his microscope to see if there are too many white cells, indicating infection. If not, he will put some blue dye in your body so he can see all the way through until he finds the problem. Another function of blood is to take the waste – all the stuff that doesn’t belong in there – and carry it to your human garbage can. Blood is the most important part of a person. The blood determines what happens to the rest of you. It’s all in the blood.
