Key scripture- “Jesus said to them, ‘I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst’” (John 6:35).

No matter how fulfilled some people may seem on the surface, if they’re not right with God you can be sure that their lives are not complete.

God has built into us a hunger for him. He made us for relationship with him, and so he built into us a sense of incompleteness without him. Therefore, when you get the opportunity to have meaningful conversations with people who don’t know Jesus, speak with the confidence of someone who knows that God has sent you into that person’s life to meet a deep inner need in them for God.

The person that you are talking to may be trying to meet that need; through relationships, through activities, through success in their business, through drugs, through alcohol, through sex, through achievements, through entertainment, or through religion.

Their devotion to those things may make it seem like they have it all together, but if they don’t have Jesus in their life, you can know with certainty that there is something missing. There is an inner restlessness that can only be stilled with the love of God.

So speak with confidence to that person about Jesus, because no matter what image or persona they try to express, the reality is that they need God and nothing else will bring wholeness and rest to their souls. And conversely, however broken their lives are, if they come to Jesus their hunger can and will be satisfied.

Write down the name of someone God is putting on your heart today that you need to talk to about Jesus: ________________________. Ask God to help you speak with confidence to them this week about how knowing Jesus personally has brought wholeness and rest to your soul.

Pray this – Our Precious Heavenly Father, Jesus is the bread that I feed upon constantly so that I grow strong and healthy spiritually. Bring people into my life who are hungry and thirsty and who need to hear about Jesus, and give me the wisdom and the confidence to tell them what Jesus has done for me and will do for them. Father, help me to explain to them that whoever comes to Jesus, no matter what they have done or who they are, will never ever be turned away. How amazing is that! Father, I have tasted and seen how good You are, how good Your promises are, and how faithful You are. Soften the heart of ________, as they hear my testimony about You and Jesus so that they can see how much they need Jesus as their Lord and Savior. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen.
