Let The Critics Live

Revelation 3:9

Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.

God is not only in control of the Christians, he’s also in control of the critics. He will make them to come and worship before your feet. A lot of people get upset because they are criticized. Be aware of the fact that criticism is actually free advertisement. I’ve sold more than a few tapes from folk criticizing our church. Say did you hear what he’s saying? Go get the tape. When they get it, they discover that I’m in the word and they change their minds about everything they had heard. A whole lot of folk tune in our television broadcast because of what somebody else said. Sometimes a woman becomes upset because some other woman got mad and criticized her. But what they do is just point you out to men. “She thinks she’s something.” And the man hadn’t even paid her any attention before that moment. But then he goes looking for her. If people knew what they were really doing when they criticize you, they’d never say a word.

When a person criticizes you, he’s thinking about you. He can’t talk about you unless he’s got you on his mind. You need to make sure you are right in what you’re doing. Don’t let them catch you doing wrong; make sure you’re right in all you do and let people talk all they want. The Lord says He will make your enemies your footstool. Your enemies will help you reach some things you couldn’t reach otherwise. They will give you a step up. Your enemies will help you accomplish some things. Now you don’t do stuff just to make people talk, but when you are serving the Lord and you’re right in what you doing, let them go on and talk. God will use the critics for his own purposes.
