The Hour Of Judgment

Revelation 14:7

Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

Many times the Bible will state, “the time is at hand.” referring to a certain period of time. Or the Bible will state, “the day is at hand.” Here the text says, “the hour.” which means that the count down is on. The hour of judgment is hell. We don’t want to run into God’s judgment because God will judge out of anger. The Lord gets angry with us when he sends his Son to die for us and we reject the Son. The ransom price was paid for every one of us on Calvary and we live as if the debt has not been paid. He is saying with a loud voice, “Fear God and give glory to Him.”

So fear God; have some conviction in your life. Every blood washed saint ought to fear God. God is too awesome for us not to fear him. God can do whatever he wants to do whenever He gets ready any way he wants to do it. A man one day stood out in the middle of nowhere and he just hollered, “God, I heard you was so bad and awesome. If it’s true, strike me down with lightning.” And he just stood there, hollering and cursing. God didn’t say a word. He said again, “If you’re so bad, strike me down with lightning.” While he was hollering, a gnat flew in his mouth and choked him to death. You see God doesn’t have to have lightning for us. God doesn’t even have to take our lives, he can just stop giving it to us, and we’re just as dead.

Give glory to God. The only way a person can give God glory is by being converted. An unconverted person will never give God glory; they will only bring glory to themselves. It is better to worship God while you are able than be forced to do it. The day will come when every knee shall bow. This will be easy for those who continually bow their hearts in prayer on bended knee.
