The Mighty Act Of Creation
Psalms 150:2
Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.
You ought to praise him for his mighty acts. You can start with creation. That’s a mighty act. God created. That means he took nothing and made something. When you take nothing and make something, that’s a tremendous action. Now man can say, “I made.” but we can’t say “I created.” We can say “I’m creative”, but we can’t say, “I created something.” because we have to use stuff that’s already there. Twenty years ago man took a seed of a man and the seed of a woman, put it in a test tube and brought forth a little girl and they named her Louise. But man had to take the stuff that was already here. Many years ago two Wright brothers came together and invented and iron bird, called it an airplane. They fixed it so you can eat breakfast in Memphis, lunch in New York City and attend an evening concert in Paris, France but they had to use the things that were already here.
Man went out one day and caught lightening and changed it into electricity so now you can touch a button and be warm in the winter and cool in the summer, but he had to utilize the matter that was already here. Man found a substitute for butter, a synthetic for rubber, a replacement for sugar, but he had to use substances that were already here. However, God took nothing in that he walked out and stood in the middle of nowhere and just spoke and worlds without end came into existence; waters came forth He spoke the lightening. The sun started shining, the moon began to glow, and stars started glittering. He spoke and the earth began to rotate on its axis; vegetation came up. Beasts began to roam the earth. Fish started swimming and birds began to fly…. the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary. There is no searching of his understanding.
